Privacy byarchitecture.

Three commitments shape every architectural choice we make. Anything that would violate one of them gets cut.

• Local by default. AI inference runs on your machine via Ollama. Your text, prompts, and outputs never travel to our servers - because there are no such servers in the path.
• Zero telemetry. No keystroke logging, no usage analytics, no anonymous heartbeats. The desktop app does not dial home.
• Your data, your machine. Command history and settings live in a local SQLite database. Export or delete anytime - even uninstalling removes everything.

The short version: nothing from inside the app. The longer version:

• No keystroke logging or monitoring.
• No prompts or AI responses transmitted off-device.
• No usage analytics or telemetry from the desktop app.
• No browsing history or activity tracking.
• No account creation required to use AI features - only to receive license updates and bind downloads to your account.

What stays on your device:

• Command history (local SQLite).
• Settings and preferences (local config).
• Downloaded AI models (managed by Ollama, local disk).

Every AI inference runs entirely on your machine via Ollama. OCR processing for the img: command runs through local Tesseract. No data leaves your computer unless you explicitly share it.

Typilot only talks to the network for two things:

• Downloading new AI models - via Ollama, only when you explicitly request one.
• License validation and update checks - small, infrequent, no content of any kind.

Typilot has been independently audited for compliance with major privacy regulations. All three reports are linked at the top of this page and are also available below - download anytime.

• EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - audited 2025.
• German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) - audited 2025.
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) - audited 2025.

Compliance with these frameworks is structurally easy for us: you can't misuse data you never collect. The audits exist to make that claim verifiable rather than rhetorical.

Because we don't store your data, the rights that GDPR and CCPA grant - access, rectification, deletion, portability - apply almost entirely to data already on your device.

• Delete command history anytime from inside the app.
• Export settings and configuration as JSON.
• Uninstall to wipe all local data.
