All AI processing happens entirely on your device using Ollama. Your prompts, responses, and keystrokes never leave your computer.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking. Complete privacy.

Your Data Stays Local

Command history and settings are stored locally on your machine. You can export or delete this data at any time.

Data Collection Policy

Typilot operates with privacy-first principles. Here's what we do and don't do with your data:

What We Don't Collect

  • No keystroke logging or monitoring
  • No prompts or AI responses transmitted
  • No usage analytics or telemetry
  • No personal information
  • No browsing history or activity tracking
  • No account creation or authentication required

What Stays on Your Device

  • Command history (stored locally in SQLite database)
  • Settings and preferences (local configuration)
  • Downloaded AI models (managed by Ollama locally)

Local Processing

All AI model inference runs entirely on your machine using Ollama. OCR processing with Tesseract also happens locally. No data leaves your computer unless you explicitly share it.

Network Usage: Typilot only connects to the internet for:

  • Downloading AI models (via Ollama, only when you explicitly request)
  • Fetching available model list (cached locally after first fetch)

Privacy by Design

Typilot is built with privacy as a fundamental design principle. All processing happens locally on your device. We don't have access to your data because it never leaves your computer.

Your privacy is protected not by promises, but by architecture - the way Typilot is designed makes it physically impossible for us to collect your data.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there't nothing to delete or export from our servers. All your data is stored locally and you have complete control:

  • Delete command history anytime from the app
  • Export settings and configuration
  • Uninstall the app to remove all local data
  • Review all code to verify privacy claims
